Services
Individual Counselling
I can help you to make long-term shifts in areas in which you are struggling, or help you cope and heal if you are going through a difficult time. Counselling can be brief or long-term, depending on your needs and situation. Through counselling, you can expect to experience greater self-acceptance, improve your ability to cope with stress, and strengthen your relationships with others. Some of the areas that I have had great success in treating include anxiety, control issues, coping with the crisis of infertility and managing the overwhelming transition brought on by parenthood.
Relationship Counselling
Couples therapy exposes some of the dominant dynamics in the couple dyad, such as control, intimacy, and communication. Each member of the couple’s strengths, vulnerabilities, and personal coping styles will be highlighted in an attempt to foster understanding and respect for one another. In the safe therapeutic environment, we will aim to gently expose the roots of conflict or detachment, aiming to deepen the connection and improve the ability to communicate honestly with one another.
Group Counselling
Women's Infertility Support Group
This group will use a mind and body-centred therapy approach to help deal with the tension and anxiety often associated with fertility challenges. This group is for women only, regardless of whether the couple's fertility problem is female or male. The focus will be on managing difficult emotions, exploring coping strategies, and de-escalating mental and physiological stress and negativity. Read more about Source: Fertility for Mind and Body.
Postpartum Group for Mothers
Designed for mothers who are in their first year of parenting, this group will focus on providing support to mothers. Issues that will be explored are postpartum depression and anxiety, self-identity, relationship, and parenting concerns. Babies are of course welcome to join no matter what kind of mood they happen to be in, and mothers can feed, change diapers, and tend to the baby’s needs throughout the group.
